TLP - Emergency Housing Programs

Full Resource Name:

TLP - Emergency Housing Programs

Description:

The Lord!€™s Place Emergency Housing Programs operate from two different campuses. Homeless families receive emergency shelter at the Family Campus in West Palm Beach; homeless men receive emergency shelter at our Men!€™s Campus in Boynton Beach. These programs provide housing and counseling to 14 families and 31 men.

Our campuses are supportive communities where formerly homeless men, women and children are given the respect, dignity, tools, and resources to change their lives. Our emergency programs empower each household to make life-changing decisions and attain the opportunities to become productive members of our community.

The Lord!€™s Place has been providing emergency housing for families and individuals for over 25 years. As a leader in homeless services, our organization understands the need for emergency housing in this community. The National Alliance to End Homelessness published research which suggests that housing models should first house a homeless person, and second introduce the supportive services needed to keep that person housed. We believe that housing is a basic human right, not just a privilege, and we adopt national best practices to ensure our clients receive the necessary services to stabilize and move toward independence.
